FungiXpert® Candida IgG Antibody Detection Kit (CLIA) uses chemiluminescence immunoassay technology to detect mannan-specific IgG antibodies in human serum, providing a rapid and effective auxiliary means for detection of susceptible people. It is used with fully automated instrument FACIS developed by us, to provide fast, accurate and quantitative result.
Candida is one of the most common invasive fungi that cause high mortality around the world. Systemic candida infection lacks specific clinical symptoms and early rapid detection methods. IgG is the predominant antibody formed from secondary exposure to antigen, and reflects a past or ongoing infection. It is produced as IgM antibody levels decrease after primary exposure. IgG activates complement, and assists the phagocytic system to eliminate antigen from the extravascular space. The IgG antibodies represent the major class of human immunoglobulins and are evenly distributed throughout both our intra- and extravascular fluids. The detection of IgG, when combined with IgM antibody, can help to realize a more accurate candida infection detection, and also a more intuitive way to judge the infection stage.
